there is another way. Change 5 metre scrum to goal line drop out :)
So the defender who takes the ball into his own in-goal and touches down gets the benefit of a goal line dropout?

Not all pick-and-drive situations arise from a 5 meter scrum.

He means the experimental law where attacker held up in goal is a drop out, not an attacking 5m scrum. Less incentive to bash and barge

The only way to stop this boring pick and drive stuff is for the referees to clamp down on pre-binding. After all, it is a flying wedge and is already identified as illegal.

Not all of us find it boring, some of us enjoy it.

I think it's when the ball's been taken in by the attacker (kicked, dropped but went back wards), then made dead (by running over the DBL)??
