I may get the chance to be 4th official at the Rugby Legends match at the the Stoop next week.

Haven't done the role before - any info / tips, please?

Alan - best tip is don't do it ! Have a beer or two and watch the fun instead.

There will be a constant stream of "past their sell by date" legends interchanging, their coaches arguing about this that and the other.

Lots of coverage in the press last weekend for the Dublin match.
A couple of things I recall :
Rolling subs, players go on for 10 minutes, come off to have a drink and then trundle back on again.
Uncontested scrums, but that won't affect you as 4th official.
Also Hammersmith & Fulham RFC Veterans played the curtain raiser before the 19:30 KO

RFU video clip gives a better flavour of it.

It's a return match, I wonder who won on Saturday evening?

When I first heard about it I volunteered to AR(I happen to be working currently at the sponsors, Just Retirement) - that would have been perfect, but last week I heard that they have two lined up so I have been asked to do 4th. Still good to be part of it and I'll have my kit just in case!

Saturday night's result was as follows : Ireland won 26 v 19 England
They're were a few bloody noses and black eyes, in what was a friendly match.

As I always say to the Captains. "It's only a friendly until I blow the whistle to start the game" :chin:
