I was looking through the videos on the Barbarians web site and found an interesting clip: http://www.barbarianfc.co.uk/video/video_view.cfm?videoID=3
The #10 for NZ clearly knocks on, and the referee plays advantage for what seems to me like quite a long time. I don't think we'd see such a long advantage today! But, he got it right because the Barbarians gained possession and all was good and right in the world.
(BTW, why were the Boks wearing such high numbers in this game: http://www.barbarianfc.co.uk/video/video_view.cfm?videoID=1)
(Also, I think I would have prevented "one of the greatest tries of all time" with a call for dangerous tackle... sigh. http://www.barbarianfc.co.uk/video/video_view.cfm?videoID=2 )
