Hi,

I work in a school and referee some of their fixtures. I undertook the ELRA L2 back in 2010/2011.

I want to start an activity for pupils to learn to referee and get a qualification.

Is there a way I can get a qualification to deliver to them?

Thank you in advance for any information or assistance.

As it was ELRA I assume you are in England and fall under the RFU?

If you contact your local RFU trainer, there is a one day "Introduction to Refereeing" Course which sounds as if it is exactly what you want.
You will need a RFU Trainer to deliver it.

PS: You can't deliver this yourself, but your local referee society might have someone qualified to deliver it.

I wonder if he can get certified to teach the course himself?

I have actually done that with the RFU. It is quite a long winded process, 2 days of learning plus being monitored for your first outing. All to do with the RFU QA checking that all course instructors are singing the same song
