In the SA v Oz game NO gave 2 penalties, one to each team, for incorrect maul entry.

The situation was that the ball carrier was held stationary by 2 opponents and then a team mate of the ball carrier entered and bound from the side.

Is this illegal? It certainly looks wrong, but prior to the entry there is no maul, ruck or tackle.

From your description it seems wrong. Have you times? I'd like to watch it.

the 2nd incident occurs mid way through 2nd half when Saia Faingaa (Gold #2) commits the offence near SA goal line. It ended a 20+ phase of Wallabies' attack.

Absolutely legal, no tackle, no ruck, no maul formed ......therefore no offside line .....therefore no illegal entry from any side.

Perhaps elite are inventing another new phase of play to add to their list!
