after repassing the http://www.irblaws.com/ exam I recalled mention of http://www.sareferees.com/laws/test-yourself/ and went and did it.

I got 21/22, the one which I got wrong was "Law 5: Time. Can a rugby match last for more than 80 minutes?" which I answered in the affirmative. My reasoning was that I've seen the 2003 cup final (which turns out to be 5.6), and also the game isn't over until the final whistle (each half could last 41 minutes, and both have in some games).

So are they wrong or am I?

Also, how often do they update the test?

You are correct:

5.1 DURATION OF A MATCH
A match lasts no longer than 80 minutes plus time lost, extra time and any special
conditions.
A match is divided into two halves each of not more than forty minutes playing
time.

Also what does this one mean?

[h=2]Law 19: Touch and lineout. If the attacking team has seven players in the lineout and the defending team has only five players in the lineout, does the referee blow for a free kick?[/h]
Definition:

Attacking team: The opponents of the defending team in whose half of the ground play
is taking place.

So, the answer is "maybe". It depend if the attacking side is the throwing in side or not.

And the scrum question is wrong as well: A scrum can take place closer than 5m to the tryline. The mark for a scrum can't be. But a scrum can be pushed closer....

Agreed, but that is a case of poor wording and I decided it meant "the obvious".

I think you're splitting hairs there. The other two are clearly wrong. If you want to be picky, when the scrum is set on the 5 the No8's feet are closer to the goal line.

They have sent me an email accepting it was badly worded, and they will change it.

Picky? Perhaps, but it is a Law quiz, so it should be right.
