Q is a GLDO a restart kick ?
A someimes it is, sometimes it isn't

Restart Kick - the method of restarting play with a drop-kick after a score or a touch-down.

So some GLDOs fit that definition

But some GLDOs result from a knock on, or from a held up. Not from a touch down

Haha, that is such a good point. Probably caught out the team that writes these incorporating the GLT before actually proof reading the rest of the law book to make sure there isn't a contradiction or loophole somewhere

On a match day I would still say they are re-start kicks but I take your point on board.

Is a 22 drop out always a restart? Ie you can have a 22 DO after an event that isn't a touchdown

Drop outs, both 22 and goal lie, come under "Other restart kicks" in law 12.
