Looks like we are fresh out of Red buttons. That's a bit awkard.

If you choose the red route to get here, the unpleasant truth is you now have to contribute to the discussion. Before any further choice on your part. See post #2 for details:

That leaves us with no choice but to click on the"Blue Button" and remain in blissful ignorance.

I was hoping we might not get to this point.

Blitz rules enforced.

Perhaps if OB.. could have a rummage in the attic, for the unpublished (handwritten) rules, we can get down to brass tacks. Any BBC inside information from broadcasts would be welcome.

I will start with a Landmark this time:

Battersea Power Station

(serving Tate Modern from Autumn 2021) the "3 pin plug" as they called it throughout the War
Bonus point if anyone has the Cockney slang for this particular Landmark in pre Pink Floyd days.

What on earth is going on over there in Blighty? All completely bonkers by the sounds of things.

It’s cabin fever, mate.

I will play Holborn station for you, since you clearly don’t know the rules.

I'll play one location which (as well as the usual Cockfosters) always makes me smile....the fantastically named Mudchute

I appreciate it's on the DLR which may invoke some rule but it cheered me up as I "passed through it" on the way to see the Cutty Sark.

While we're on it - sad news about Tim Brooke-Taylor of ISIHAC, erstwhile Goody and co-writer of the possibly the best sketch ever - The Four Yorkshire men sketch.

Cardboard box?

Chesham tube station.

While British Museum no longer qualifies as an Underground station, (as pointed out in OB..’s linked article) you could slip it in as a landmark. But only if you know which bank has built a branch above the old station.
A few other famous landmarks are allowed at a pinch.

• Big Ben. Silent sentinel that it has become.
• Tower Bridge
• The London Eye
• The Tower of London
• The Gherkin
• Buckingham Palace
• St Paul's Cathedral
• Palace of Westminster
• The Shard
• Westminster Abbey

Maida Vale tube station

Be thankful he didn’t divulge the contents of Mrs Ivy Trellis’ (of North Wales) incoherent letter in #8.
As usual she mistakes the chairman for some another Radio 4 presenter.

She writes: "Dear Libby", "why is it that ....

Is it too late for me to play "Elephant and Castle".
Or can I not be "in Huff" under this variation ?

Not too late.

Bakerloo line has only one station south of the river, and you had to go play it. :holysheep:

I go with Stockwell for now. I hope we can extricate ourselves from here without too much bother. I’ve seen games quickly run out of steam, I mean stations. There are only 29 underground stations in South London

Do remember Blitz rules in operation. So the air raid shelter may come in handy.
Just below the station platforms, there is an air raid shelter comprised of two tunnels, both six times the length of the platforms themselves. They’re currently used as a secure archive.
