Some of you may know I parted company with my employer, West Bromwich Albion Football Club, in March. At that time if anyone had asked me what my dream job was, I could have told them.

Today I got that dream job, and next Monday I start as the new MIS & Project Manager (IT Manager to the layman) for Leicester Tigers. :pepper:

I have been out of work for three months, and was just starting to lose confidence. It was industry contacts and networking that got me the job. So if you are ever in this position, don't lose heart!

Well done, Phil.

What's the main responsibility? Teaching front rowers how to get onto facebook? :)

Could you please change Richard Cockerill's desktop settings so the display language is Yue Chinese and his wallpaper is a copy of the most recent disciplinary judgement to go against him? Don't try to tell me it wouldn't be worth it.

Bravo!

Please make sure that when we are playing the Saints that there is a 'technical problem' that doesn't allow the TMO to see the vital shot when ruling on a Saint's try!

I'm pleased for you - it is great news and well deserved.

Well done Phil

Make sure KML1 gets a nice cup of coffee out in the Sky truck when he is TMO-ing at Welford Road.

I'm trying my best not to lose heart, but here in NL i've been 6 months unemployed and looking...

I'm an IT Project Manager too funnily enough, inter alia!

But well done, sounds like a real dream job, if that's not a cliche!

Phil E, I'm delighted for you. Firstly, for getting back into any form of employment; and secondly, for getting this dream of a position. Many congratulations. I'm sure we on here (particularluy those of us retired from active reffing) can help you out with the utilisation of the tickets; but if you are working when Tigers are playing, what does that mean for your reffing?

I only work at home games, so it's pretty much the same as when I was at WBA. Reffing Saturdays when I can, Sundays when I can't.
Still waiting for fixtures to come out, so I don't know how many of Tigers home games are on a Saturday?

Based on last few years you'll be doing lots of Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
