Well it would have been if I'd had one.
Half way through Second half visiting skipper comes to me and says
"Sir, Strange request but could you Blood bin me please?"
With no obvious signs of blood I said why?
"Well I've had bad guts all week and if I don't get off quick I think I'm going to Sh*t myself"
In the interest of other players safety and on the suspicion that a bit of the red stuff might dribble out I binned him.
Well that was a first for me.

AIUI a player may leave the field for any reason and can come back on so long as no replacement comes on while he's off.

Ian - correct. But I like Ciaran's thinking: tell me Skipper do you have piles? Yes sir. Blood bin it is, then. Perhaps Dan Cottrell can put this forward to his coaching mate as an example of referee empathy.

Great empathy for keeping the blokes dignity intact BUT the evil side of me thinks as per "all week" why was he playing at all? Clearly he took the risk and the team needed him but should they now benefit from a free replacement?
It seems a little bit like playing an injured player and expecting a free replacement if the same injury causes him to leave the field?

He was Skipper and Hooker.
The thought of an "accident" in the scrum drove my decision.
All players Seafety!!!

Yes, but he can go off and attend to his needs without any problem, and can take as long as he needs - he can do this perfectly simply without anyone coming on in his place.

So the safety issue is perfectly well covered.

But by offering the bin he was able to be subbed for the duration.

Would you do the same if the guy had said he was a bit tired and needed a rest?

I guess he did! His sphincter was tired from clenching and it needed a rest! :pepper:
