in recent matches i have noticed a trend ..

players dont know the offisde line at breakdowns i.e. rucks/ mauls/ tackles etc ...
generally this pertains to forwards
generally this pertains to the blind side

typcially, the player will stand on the blind side and stand in a sort of pocket in front of back feet ... despite me telling him to get back onside ..
despite chats to capt about fed up with asking his forwards to get back behind back feet .. despite pens and cards ..

anyone else seeing this trend?

I'd agree that forwards fringe ahead of the back foot, close to the ruck and particularly on the blind side. They are coached to Guard there, and seem to think that if they just hang about blocking a charge at the SH/FH, they are somehow part of the ruck. Whether this is genuinely "Not Knowing" or just stupidity/incompetence, we'll never know. They are, after all, forwards ....
