Phuket 10s (that's in Thailand ) is now reinventing itself as Phuket 11s. Including a number 8.

Sounds fair enough but I wonder if it needs/needed WR approval to move away from the 7s/10s/15s formats. I assume they will still use 10s laws.

From a game PoV, it may make the scrum more stable and provide for some pick & go opportunities.

From a pragmatic PoV, it's a 10% increase in participants, registration fees, money over the bar, etc
