I'd like to see the front rows actually together instead of reducing the "hit" to 6 inches. Definitely would help if the wording were changed to "scrum must be steady and square before the ball is put in". Also, a penalty could be awarded for illegal binding before the scrum starts and any alteration to binding after the scrum starts.

I'd like to see scrummaging made safer, and this beats unopposed scrums. If this were in place 20 years ago, my back would have forgone many problems.
