I was at the pulmonologist today. The (abbreviated) dialog was:

[FONT="]Mate, I got told that I had a partial collapse. How is this good?[/FONT]
[FONT="]"Well, compared to 2 years ago..."[/FONT]
[FONT="]Say what now? The only thing I had 2 years was the CT for the hernia.[/FONT]
[FONT="]"Oh yes, They got the same area of your lung as well. Look at THIS area and compare it to THAT area..."[/FONT]
[FONT="]So, if I hear you right, there was a bigger collapse a long time ago and it's getting better on its own?[/FONT]
[FONT="]"Oh yes. And I'm going to give you meds so it continues to get better."
So, it turns out I've been refereeing for at least two years with a partially collapsed lung that has been gradually getting better.
I have had an...interesting day.
