SBW has retired from both Rugbies to concentrate on boxing.

He was a fantastic player in both codes.

I first saw him as 19 year old playing for Canterbury Bulldogs against Leeds Rhinos at Elland Road in the World Club Challenge in 2005.

Cheap shots and shoulder charges aside his offloading game was something to behold.

One of the greats? Not sure, perhaps if he'd stuck to one or the other maybe.

Anyway good luck to him in his reinvigorated boxing career.

Indeed. This time he's 35 and his knee(s) are shot at.

Ironically his wikipedia page has him as a NZ Heavyweight Boxer.

Snap. In my brief playing career, I was very adept at the offload ... just before getting smashed.

As Peter Cook (may have) said about his golfing ability "my short game is recognised as being one of the shortest of all time"
