I am off to Oz tomorrow (Saturday 16th) and will be in Newcastle the weekend of the 23rd / 24th are there any games still going on in Oz? Do we have any Newcastle / Hunter Valley Refs here that can help, should I take some kit???

Officially you need to get Permission to Referee Overseas from The RFU Referees Department via your Society Secretary - http://www.rfu.com/TakingPart/Refer...mission to Referee Overseas Form - 20062.ashx but it sounds a bit late for that !

I know about the paperwork, still have a week to get that in place, they are used to me being a frequent tourer, China and America etc.

This trip all happened late so no planning time.....

If I get a game I'll email the form to HQ

ST-can you (or Big J) CLARIFY PLEASE re permission to ref overseas form .form itself says insured only for english games and must show you have arranged own liability insurance for overseas games. Last i queried our soc. sec, said didn't need to complete one. Have own insurance anyway so what would be purpose of seeking RFU permission (particularly as they don't even insist on knowing the games one is going to ref abroad.)
