These goal line dropouts

If you are not beaten to it by the referee - I like to know that the players have been coached to the same regulations that I will be refereeing. Including getting the ball size correct. OK, that's mainly at schools not clubs.

I've never had a ref come at it from that angle. After one of the recent matches I pointed out to the ref that we should not be doing GLD, and his response was the boys seemed happy to play a GLD when he told them to, so why was I questioning it... However, I'm sure he would not have been happy being told by a 14 year old that he was wrong mid game and seemed to be shifting the blame onto the players for doing a GLD as told to by the ref!
