Watched the game with another ref, I remember that incident and we were both suprised that it wasn't play on. Carley dismissed it very quickly.

For us there was a clear ripping action and the ball came free, so in our opinion it should have been play on and a Leinster try.

No blue tinted glasses here, didn't care who won. As it was a try scoring situation it should have been looked at.

I haven't seen the incident but, as Phil suggests, there is a sensible approach to allow the TMO to be delegated to make some decisions. This avoids the need for the ref & ARs to stand on the pitch for several minutes peering at a distant screen and then debating what they have seen.
