I thought refs had been told that if the ball is available, the refs are told to call use it.
Yesterday after a few close calls and charge downs, Wales decided to create a ladder ruck on numerous occasions with players clearly joining long after the ball was available.
Pascal Gauzere either forgot or chose to ignore this rarely calling use it.
Smart by Wales, dumb by England by not bringing it to his attention.
p.s. I know Itoje is pushing the offside lines , different issue, I'm English and discipline cost us the game.

Same with holding 10 at line outs, he was screaming stop, stop but no one was, and not penalising so it very quickly became ignorable white noise by the players, over shadowed by other issues though!

I thought hed lost control of both teams very early on. Wales were far better at reading him of course, but like England they weren't interested in him otherwise.
