Re: Weight Loss Championship

Sadly - had 2 weeks without gym (physio orders), followed by 2 weeks on an all-inclusive holiday in the Bahamas, with a gym that was broken (yes I tried to use it, but.....). And the best food was the buffet, and lots of booze.

So the results are bad!

Starting weight: 114.0kg
Goal: 95 or 105 (depending on operation)

This week: 115.7 kg
Weekly Loss: -1.7kg
Total Loss: -1.7kg (#.##% original body weight)
Total Loss v Targets: #.#%/#.#% of target weight loss

At least I am back in the gym, everyday, doing lots of cardio, and lots of physio exercises...

Hi Toby,

Don't be disheartened - there are a number of factors to consider- not least of which is that muscle weighs more than fat, and lean mass is desirable...

Happy to talk you through this if you want - just let me know...

All ears to tips, what info do you need from me in order to give some pointers.

Some generic background:

Exercise 5-6 times a week (mainly by cycling during the week long swim at W/ends) I will make this shorter and sharper as the season approaches.

In terms of diet, just try to eat sensibly reducing calories esp. from bad foods (ie booze and sweets etc).

Aim is to be c92-95kg but just fitter and lighter generally.

I'm never (best to be honest) going to be able or want to give up life's nicer things and actually going for a few beers / nice meal is important in return I accept that progress will slow a little.

Tips / suggestions gratefully received

Hi Toby,

So - couple of questions...

Height, age, position you played (when you played), excercise regimen, diet (break it down per meal and frequency), body type (if you know it...ecto, endo or meso)...that should do for a starter ;-)
