Have to agree it wasn't clear and obvious that the strip went forward however can't believe they didn't check on Welsh scrum half who was in front of the ball before the scrum started and looked lik he was when the ball came out.

I thought that in real time but everything then concentrated on whether it went forward and the offside aspect wasn’t checked. Having said that my recollection was that the scrum had swivelled and it may have created an illusion

Most refs/fans I have spoken to have said, flat or forward, but the ref can be heard saying it went backwards :chin:
