What's your approach management of numbers in the Lineout?

If I miss numbers or forget to count, that's unfortunate especially if throwing team are dicking about.
It's only an issue if the non throwing team win the ball. Then you will hear cries of numbers sir!
"Sorry guys, I missed it play on".

I ask for numbers, and all the teams happily provide them.

We have a form of detente. The teams all seem to realize that if they start asking for numbers, the opposition will as well; they also realize that they're not smart enough to avoid getting caught on numbers, so just cooperate.

I think the vast majority of forwards prefer a game where both teams announce the numbers to eachother ... and we can all just get on with having lineouts

So if at all possible, manage it to achieve that happy outcome.

So if at all possible, manage it to achieve that happy outcome.
That isn't common practice in our part of the world
