This was the tunnel just forming up at the end of my game last week Cockermouth 0 - 5 Tarleton. Old school mudbath and a very good game to be involved in.

Bloody freezing cold and a pitch like a blancmange. Luctonians won 0-21. Called in a try - hit the line right in front of me under a heap of bodies and a knock-on right on the line in the act of (not) scoring. So job done.

It is different from refereeing....

It's nice to be part of a team again although I hadn't worked with either AR1 or referee before despite them both being from my Society. I think I'll get better as I get to know people.

Ha ha, love that. Also have visions of the groundsman being found bound and gagged in the changing room after suggesting prior to the game that the pitch might cut up a bit if they played on it.

Alice Springs again.

40 degrees at 730pm kick off. Mid 30s if I'm lucky. And I'm not.

This Friday evening I am doing a U16s game at my club.

Hopefully they will confine themselves to playing Rugby rather than making disparaging remarks about each others' mothers.

Anyway. I shall prepare for a TREDS lecture but hopefully won't need it. ?

Workington V Upper Eden, Cumbria L8. Hopefully the wind has died down a bit. The biggest pitch in the county both teams playing their last official game of the season!:(
The visitors who won the league a few weeks ago are going for an unbeaten league campaign which will sadly be for nothing as the RFU have stitched the Cumbrian clubs up with a disaster of a league for next season with some very one sided games a certainty or an even smaller league if teams drop out as happened this year.

Yup, being watched tomorrow - 6th time this season, taking that as a positive!

last? In February? whats going on?

ah - a 9 team league, so 2only" 16 fixtures on a full home and away basis. Guess so.

Meanwhile D&W 2 has only 9 teams also but they have fixtures until April - but theyve only typcially played 11 or 12 games this far, wheras Cumbria has played 15.
