Saturday:
2nd L8 Counties 2 encounter:
Tyldesley v Southport - a game that could heavily influence both teams promotion chances very early in the season. The kind of game both teams need to win to have a chance this season.

Sunday:
L8 U17 Colts
Broughton Park v Lymm
Broughton Park have already told me they have no front row, and only 14 players so I suspect this could be open, fast and frantic.

This week I have two - yes two - games. Oooh my poor legs.

Wednesday

AR2 as part of a To3

Rotherham II v Sheffield Tigers II

Rotherham have too many players to keep happy so have arranged some "2nd" team games against fairly local opponents who do, as a matter of course, run multiple teams.

LLP Jr is refereeing after his sojourn doing Rugby League - mooooovvvve!

Saturday

N2N - AR2

Hull v Billingham

Hull are bottom, which is a surprise (not least to them) and Billingham are 5th and undefeated. The alarm bells will be really ringing if Hull balls this up. 3 years ago they were in Nat 1 .

Hopping back across the Mississippi for a Saturday double

11am - St Louis Sabres (senior women D2) vs Lindenwood 2nds (college varsity)

3pm - Pittsburg St @ WUStL (college D2 men)

Got some good pointers from last weekend's coaching, time to put them into practice to try to get back to C2

I have a youth game (third week in a row!!) Cardiff Harlequins Vs Llanharan. Both clubs have a reputation for running the ball.

Voice needs a bit of a rest I would imagine.

As tongue in cheek as I imagine that comment was made he actually did "complain" that the shouting bit is hard work. He can go 2-3 minutes without saying anything other than at conversational volume in RU whereas he can't go 2-3 seconds in RL without having to shout.

Absolutely tongue in cheek, it looks really hard work when I see it on TV. Not sure my voice would cope!

Just practice saying "I can only tell you what the bunker is saying" the next time you have a tricky management situation.

A bit one sided! 8 tries 7 converted to NIL. Played in a good spirit and to sets of coaches happy with my game. A happy September all rounds: 4 Games. 28 Tries.

An Under 16s Tournament at Luctonians next Sunday. So a bit of a change.

To be fair it wasn't an official exchange he was just visiting the area and asked for a game. Our appointments guy is usually accommodating.
Yes I know. I guessed that's what happened given he was across in Cumbria on his own. How was he by the way? :) (not a serious question).

This week

AR2 in Nat 2 North

Chester v Sheffield Tigers

Chester back from last year's sojourn in N2W - I expect they're glad to see the back of trips to Redruth and Camborne - have had a poor start with only 6 points from 4 games. That's better than Tigers however who prop up the table with no wins and a few BPs.

First ever visit to Chester and first visit of the season to one of the four AGPs in N2N.

Easy game for him, no real challenge as opposition turned up short so it was just about managing a run around but that's what many games are like at L7 here in Cumbria sadly

Another Mens D3 game, but it'll be a tight one - Chicago Silverbacks (CRC 3rds) @ Chicago Blaze (2nds).

Both teams like to attack and run up the score, and both teams need all the bonus points they can get - Silverbacks are 2 table points behind the last playoff spot, and Blaze are 4 back (8-team league, top 2 move on)
