prompted by Andy in another thread saying he averaging 2.13 YC / game

that seems quite high to me (ie higher than my average) so I am asking :
- what's the going rate?
- would we expect it to differ much by level of game : eg would we expect more/fewer YC at L6 than L11

Saturday, had a school game, was determined to keep PK low and no cards.

Away side discipline at the breakdown was shocking, 10 PKs against them in first 20 mins, then it clicked

after that just a handful of PK's for next 40 mins, so all looking good then away SH lifted and dumps home SH on his back/shoulders, I was soooo peed off!

Crossref, I've thought about this and there are too many variables to form any meaningful stats ...
- experience/influence of captains
- demographics / locality of oppositions
- testosterone production
- score/ competitiveness

The list goes on, I don't track, but average x2 per match wouldnt be a surprise to me

meaningfulness comes by having data from lots of games.

Many years ago I was looking at the reasons for differences between men's and women's pay, and came across the Oaxaca decomposition technique which is a way of sorting out the significance of different factors. Not easy, and it does require a lot of data.

Most of them are for cynical play or repeat infringements.

All from L5 games (apart from 1 Womens Premiership, 1 level 4 game and a level 10 ).

So far this season 16 games (Levels 9 to 12), and only 2 YCs.

Wow! Another new verb. My joy is unlimited.

Verbs per 'sentence': 0.333 (recurring). My verbs in this post: 0. Silliness quotient: high. My verbiage in this post: less than usual.

Did 23 games this year, not including trials or 7s, I think I had 6 YCs, with 2 in a game twice.

no more than 6 cynical or 'red zone' offences in 23 games, must be a cracking standard of discipline.
