Current Referee grade:
Level 7
Question says: At a scrum, players who are not in the scrum and are not the scrum-half are off-side if they [BLANK]

A. remain in front of their off-side line, a line passing through the hindmost foot of that player's team in the scrum
B. overstep their off-side line, a line passing through the hindmost foot of that player's team in the scrum
C. remain in front their offside line, a line passing through the ball
D. both A and B

Answer as below, but the options A and B need to state the 5m behind the scrum, not as stated in the question.

The correct answer is: D.
20.12g : Players who are not in the scrum, and who are not the team's scrum-half, are off-side if they remain in front of their off-side line or overstep their off-side line which is a line parallel to the goa line and 5m behind the hindmost player of eachteam in a scrum. The penalty is a penalty kick on the off-side line.

My guess is that that is an old law question, which hasn't been updated.

The offside line is 5m back from the hindmost foot.
