When I first saw Steyns tackle on Cruden , my recall immediately went back to the McKinnon incident , IMO the no9 isn't innocent here either and should be cited for his involvement.

Cruden can count himself fortunate, and Steyn should look at this and be ashamed.

If the post match discipline allows it the Steyn should get a really hefty ban .... rid the game of this "double teaming" neck drive into the ground

Unfortunately, players do not seem to be learning, despite numerous YC, RC citings and suspensions.

Perhaps, the only way we can truly stamp this out is to make it a PK offence to lift the ball carrier off the ground. The referee would immeduately PK for lifting (no advantage to be played).

I have heard that RL are currently looking at doing this for any tackle where more than one tackler is involved.
