I'm in agreement with Browner's blue highlight comments.

First scenario: Not being witness to the event I suspect that Blue sticking his arm out is just reactionary and would get a warning but not a YC.

Second: "Barely released" is still released and being in a legal position means PK against Black for not playing/releasing the ball.

The IRB uses "reactionary", but I think that is a Malapropism. The word means "extremely conservative". I don't think "reactive" is quite right either because of its chemistry overtones, implying a fierce reaction, but it would do. Possibly the best word is "reactional". Better still simply say it is a reaction.

Perhaps "reflexive"? From Merriam-Webster Online ......... happening or done without thinking as a reaction .....

or "instinctive" etc.,etc. blah, blah, blah.

Either way, not a YC, unless it's forceful enough to clothesline the BC.

Releasing? That's a different issue and I'm contemplating a new thread.
