Q? Is 7s so specialised nowadays, to make selection of 15s stars a risk?

Some countries have been tempted , some not.
Yes.
I can safely say I don't know any of the England Team. I recognise Liam Gill from Oz. I recognise non of the Welsh Team and the two "star" Scots.
Forbes from NZ is the only 7s name I know.
I look forward to seeing the Ugandan Team where I can see how many of them I don't know.
I'm sure if I was more into 7s I'd be oohing and aahing at the prospect of seeing all the "main men". I used to like to see a bit of coverage of the Hong Kong 7s when Eric Rush and Serevi were doing their thing but the current global circus just bores me - a bit like the Ian_Cook and Football.
Strong-running centre Hayter, who was recently released by Wasps to pursue a full-time career with England Sevens
I think that says a lot about the relative attributes of the blokes playing 7s and 15s.
I saw Ben Gollings play for Doncaster in the Championship a few years ago and he wants pants!
Each to his own.
