Do any northern boys have any contacts at Mowden Park.
I notice they have just bought the Darlington Arena (Capacity 25 000) which should just about be big enough for Nat league 2 North crowds.
Are they planning/hoping to to expand to play with the big boys or was the prospect of a relatively new and empty stadium just too tempting?

Best hurry then :
Allianz Park (NW4 - Hendon, north London) will host its first game on Saturday 16th February 2013 when Exeter Chiefs become the inaugural visitors to Saracens' new ground.

Although the Darlington Arena is a 25,000-seater stadium, safety certificates limited the attendance to 10,000 ; due to the inadequacy of the local road network.
...when the away supporters exceed 1,000 supporters that the car park is full and this causes congestion to the surrounding roads.
Given that the access issues cannot be resolved be resolved by the club & given the opposition by local residents to any staging of large music events, or the like. I fail to see how the RFC will make a go of it.
Plans to boost income by staging large music events were scuppered when the venue failed to win an entertainment licence.
