Exchanges in Staffordshire

Hi All,

I have two exchanges this month to Staffordshire

Newcastle Staffs v Wolverhampton
Eccleshall v Harborne

Anyone refereed them before and can give me an idea of what I will face?

I have refereed all four of these teams at various times over the years. The first match will be fast and furious, Newcastle having fleet backs but rather light forwards and Wolverhampton being very well coached. Both teams try to play open rugby.

The second match wll be very different, Eccelshall will be forward dominated whilst Harborne will be looking to throw the ball wide.

Eccleshall pitch is basically common ground and dog walking and horse riding occurs regularly with all the problems thus associated!!!!!!!!


Both home clubs are very hospitable to referees!!!!!!!!!!
