I've watched a lot of S15 this year (thanks Mr Murdoch) and to be honest I've not come across BL that much so can't really comment. Of those I've seen regularly I'd rate them:-

Mark Lawrence
Joubert
Pollock
Walsh

to be honest.

You're guaranteed an exciting final but I would bury your law knowledge deep into the back of your brain for the game!

Bury the rag deep in your face, for now is the time for your tears.

My thoughts exactly, was just about to post this. Admittedly I've seen little S15 this year but if BL is the best then the rest must be poor...

Why do they not like Mark Lawrence?

They can't stand his sheer awesomeness:eek:

No idea as he has been the best ref this season and the players buy into his style of reffing too.

Man Management
Technical refereeing
Not afraid to make a tough call.

Yes, all those things just scream "Bryce is THE man for the job".

Maybe it's a consolation prize since he'll get eff-all of value in the WC?

What's wrong with Bryce?

I think he has done pretty well in all the games that I have seen, can't remember any shocking decisions he has made, and he gets on pretty well with the players.

Can someone explain the lack of love for Bryce?

I should add that I am perhaps a little biased as he often runs our training meetings when he is in town, but he also seems to be a hell of a nice guy.

Yes his manner on the pitch is not one of being in control, he looks uncomfortable and not in control.

No doubt he is a nice bloke.

Yeah I have really taken a liking to Mark Lawrence this year. I already thought highly of Joubert but thought he had at least one off game in S15(far and few between- can't remember which one). Walsh is one of/ if not my favourite referee (still injured??).

Haven't seen enough of Pollock, Bryce Lawrnce or Munro either to comment. Apart from that, can't pinpoint it but I really don't like Kaplan at all, in the same boat as Dickinson for me (and most 'top' Aussie refs at the moment for that matter).

Ahhh, managed to take us back to the days of the good old 8+ mins for scrums in the Tahs vs Reds game this year- did a good job of killing the game in THAT second half at Suncorp when Walsh didn't return after injuring his calf.

I thought he did a great job in that game. It was a real battle of attack v. defense and I think he managed it well to ensure an even contest
