Penalty Italy for me.
That was my initial thought, but after seeing a couple of replays I felt it was an even contest, and if anything the Italian was more "out of control" because he was jumping and rotating (the ball was coming over his shoulder) whereas the French player maintained his line throughout and was in a position to contest the ball.

As much as I wanted to give Italy the benefit of the doubt, MC was never going to award them a penalty.

I felt it was a fair and legal contest and the head contact was purely a “rugby incident”.
I didn’t see or hear the Italian player (Capuozzo - Italy #15) go off for an HIA, which I was a bit surprised by.

I was there - but too pissed to realise what was going on.

Watched it on the replay - let Whitehouse have his 15 mins of fame - and thought no foul play.

I thought Capuozzo should have gone off for a HIA but the selfish me was glad he stayed on and scored - I have him in my 6N Fantasy Team.
