It must be.

We've been told there are no law changes from the 2017 lawbook. :chin:

Haven't we all been told that or was it just a whisper!

Not there as far as I am aware.

It's not there, but if you look at 18.8.f in the new book you can see that it has left a trace .. enough of a trace for you to continue to offer the option in 2018 , but they need to fix this in the 2019 book

Think 18.8 f is fine - it is mostly about lineout options when another restart might have been expected, so ko into touch is a scrum, but has a lineout option

It's obscure , compared to the 2017 Law book.

I would class it as an example of where the 2018 book amounts to the same thing as the 2017 book, but has expressed it much LESS clearly

If you were new to the game and read only the 2018 book I think you'd find it hard to grasp what to do when a knock on goes into touch

IIRC it was a Clarification in Law, and all Clarifications still stand - and they aren't necessarily written into Law.

No, it's all laid out clearly in the 2017 bookm

But there are loads of clarifications out there that have been superseded by later Laws
