Excellent day out for London refs some 40 participated from all regions running teams of 4 for the RFU guys in the main comp. The Open comp was also a very good standard as was the Ladies

Very good well organised tournament trying to establish itself.

Highlights were on TV last night Sky Sports 3

Not sure what the format will be for the other regional events

Not sure what the format will be for the other regional events.

The Manchester Sevens is a very trimmed down version as opposed to last year, run over the Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there are only three competitions happening at a rugby club with only one pitch as opposed to six competitions over six pitch last year. This means that hardly any Society referees will get to officiate.

Yep - it's Keynsham RFC's turn to host the second leg this weekend.

It will be the first time the West Country 7s has been run over two days, with the National Series competition taking place on the Saturday, alongside the men's and ladies' open. The Sunday sees the PA Charity 7s (the social stuff).

As BFG said, we have 30+ refs over both days, with help from our neighbouring Brizzol Society and even one from Glouz!

It's going to be a busy one!.... but the sun is booked so here's to a good weekend.

And to think three years ago it was 12 teams on two pitches on a Saturday afternoon!

If anyone wants to join in.. PM me... we have room for more refs!
