Pre-match checks

I did a ladies' friendly this weekend.

I did my usual safety checks. Boots. Fingernails. Rings. Brief look for hair grips. Earrings.

As all the ladies knew me, they gave me the usual banter about body piercings, etc.

Anyway. About 20 minutes into the game, as we were getting ready for a scrum, one of the forwards asked me to stop for a second and.. hang on.. would you mind looking after this for me sir?

She'd just remembered she'd put her cigarette lighter in her bra before the game.

Something else I'll have to ask about next time....
