[Law] Replacement entering field of play

Question a friend asked
Question on the laws of rugby. If a substitute runs on the pitch and joins a fight. Can the referee send him off and what happens to the team in terms of numbers??

I have sent a replacement off for that, team stayed at 15 as he wasn't part of the 15 on the pitch at the time

I had that as well, lineout , ball off the top, ball goes wide , I follow play glance back and its all kicking off, running over I see a flag in the middle of it all and find that the linesman (club supporter not official appt) is in the middle of it as well as a sub.

RC sub, remove TJ and restart game.

I was being refcamed for possible advancement in the same match- just what you need :wtf:

As it happened I must have done all right as i was moved up a level.
