Saw this in the Premiership roundup on ITV4 last night.

I think it was Leicester vs Irish.

Leicester attacking, no 7 grubbers the ball through the Irish defence and no 6 chases it up.

I can't quite remember what happens next - either the 6 goes to ground to gather the ball and a defender falls on him, or the 6 gathers the ball and is then tackled.

In either case, no 6 is near the goal-line but does not quite have the momentum to cross it - so he scrambles, hands and knees, until he can place the ball. Try awarded.

I'm curious as to what you guys would give in these circumstances, and whether it would be different depending on what actually happened at the point I was unsure about.

On a related note, I've seen a few more players lately scrambling forwards, or even getting back to their feet, when I'm fairly sure they've been tackled.
