TRY! Though Jones needs to work on his dive.

Do you think the recriminations will force a review of:
1. delivery of kicking tee vs indicating to the ref you are going to take a shot?
2. whether a quick tap can be taken once the ref has asked the opposing captain to speak with one of his players? Is that an excuse for the entire team to switch off?

I thought Roncero was fortunate not to see a YC, he must have had 6 or 7 penalties awarded against him.

Neil Jenkins has no right to be on the pitch unless he has (implied) permission from the referee to bring on the kicking tee. If he is legitimately on the pitch, the decision has been taken to kick at goal. If he is not, penalty against him.

Should have been no try.

If Neil Jenkins was standing on the pitch with the kicking tee in his hand, that is the intention to kick signaled under Law 21.4 (b)

No delay. If a kicker indicates to the referee the intention to kick a penalty kick at goal, the kick must be taken within one minute from the time the player indicates the intention to kick at goal. The intention to kick is signalled by the arrival of the kicking tee or sand, or when the player makes a mark on the ground. The player must complete the kick within one minute even if the ball rolls over and has to be placed again. If the one minute is exceeded, the kick is disallowed, a scrum is ordered at the place of the mark and the opponents throw in the ball. For any other type of kick, the kick must be taken without undue delay.

Argentina had every right to expect that Wales would now kick for goal. That is a material error in Law by George Clancy.

Also, what is Neil Jenkins doing on the field in the first place. Isn't he a member of Wales' coaching team. I didn't think they were supposed to enter the FoP.

Re: Stephen Jones' & crooked feeds

I'd have to agree. Stephen Jones obviously didn't signal his intention to kick, George should have noted the "arrival" of the tee, and halted Jones's run for the line. Worst case result would have been 3 points to the Welsh.
Some the the Argentinian attempts to "roll away" were poor, but George had bought into a strict line on this. A quicker yellow could have freed up the game more. The Puma's looked very flat though without their marquee players. What's very frustrating though at all levels is guys not picking up on or even seeming to manage "crooked feeds" and "feeds to the 2nd rows".

If Jenkins has brought on the tee, then the 4th Official should have informed the ref "Tee's on the pitch" and then the penalty has to be a kick at goal.

4th Official: "Tee's on the pitch"

George: "Oh good. I'll have milk and one sugar, and two biscuits thanks"
