Finishing the first half with five carries and 63 yards

So he had one carry of 53 yards.................followed by four others of circa 2.5 yards each?

One run wonder?

Looking at the box score; a spread of 1-4 yards, all on runs up the middle where you're at the mercy of your blockers to go anywhere. Far more interesting is an 11-yard punt return and a 13-yard punt return, which are far more about individual skill than any other piece of ball-in-hand running. Over a full season, a 12-yard average would make him one of the league's elite punt returners.

100%

Top 5 Punt returners for 2014 were
13.0 Darren Sproles (Eagles)
12.0 Julian Edelman (Patriots)
11.9 De'Anthony Thomas (Chiefs)
11.9 Adam Jones (Bengals)
11.2 Tavon Austin (Rams)

I seems mandatory to have a daft name if you play in the NFL - Hayne should do well.

There's a guy called Brad Wing who was a failed Australian Rules player turned absolutely beastly punter in college for LSU; over about 28 games opponents attempted to return only 17 of his punts for 6 yards. That's not an average of 6 yards per return; that's 6 yards in 17 return attempts for an average of about 0.3 yards per return. He was literally a game-changer.

The NFL's rules make it slightly harder for punting teams to shut returners down; he's found a job in Pittsburgh after struggling with "character issues" (tr: likes a drink and a fight) and he's now merely very good rather than totally game-breaking.
