I often hear Wayne Barnes calling "Tackle Only". Why the only and not just tackle?

Cheers,

Russ

There's a couple of similar calls being used at the moment.
As discussed in another thread, referees are calling "tackle" when a potential maul (where the referee decides that a maul has NOT formed) goes to ground so that players are aware they need to roll away.
A referee will call "tackle only" to clarify that a ruck was not formed after a player has been brought to ground and that there are therefore no offside lines.

May be slightly misleading in that at or near the tackle other players, including tackle assist, must play the ball from behind the ball and from behind the tackled player!
