I had a really enjoyable game yesterday - Shropshire Schools Yr 11 (U16) Plate Final between Lacon Childe School and Corbett School.
The weather was a sh1tty as any I've seen this season, driving snow at times, cold, wet, muddy and slippery. This did not prevent both teams trying to throw the ball about and play some enterprising rugby.
No need for any cards, no flashpoints, no silliness. Just 30-odd young men who wanted to play a game of Rugby.
Both teams an absolute credit to their schools - congrats to Lacon for winning, and to Corbett for losing so magnanimously
Can I come again next year please?
