At elite level, where the memos continually state that referees will be ensuring a credible scrum throw in, definitely NOT!!

At our level where adherence to the Laws and the requirements of fairness and equity exist - as well as the all important Advisor/Coach/Assessor report - of course it will :tongue:

Just to remind people that this is a trial that will only happen in a small selection of games. It may never come into Law.

Interestingly I was just going back to the September announcements which showed which law trials would be trialed in which competition. This bit wasn't included in that announcement so not sure which comp will trial this bit. Will ask my man in Dublin!

Perhaps (and I'm not convinced) it should be illegal not to hook for the ball as a hooker. That way it would be 7 v 7.

Would it work, could it work? Who knows.

I like this. Maybe we would see more tightheads!

I suppose the obvious question is... "Now define 'hooking' " .

Is a foot waggle an attempt to hook?
