Just catching up on European Cup rugny and spotted this. About halfway through the highlights, the Ulster S/H kicks the ball back into the ruck where it is fielded by one of his players lying on the ground. He then picks it up and runs round the blind side in chips ahead and gathers for his own try. But would any of you have done something about the kick into the ruck?

The ball never left the ruck. He just nudged it forward a bit with his foot. Not like your description at all.
If you ping that, at that level, you will probably be running the line next week.

Hmmm. Interesting one. easy to miss from the ref's prespective and not "very typical" so not an immediate flag anyway.

Id say the ball was coming out and he wanted the extra half second or whatever so ensured it remnained inside the rear foot etc thus gaining an advantage.

Nice finish though...

For those looking for a more precise timestamp, start watching from 1:20 on the youtube timer.

Agree with Phil E - nothing to see here!

There was a ruck at 1:20 video? There were infractions, at least 3 by white, but none were ruck infractions. And nothing was wrong with kick, cept an offside player on the ground playing it.
