[Scrum] Lock binding u14 UK

Hi guys,

just St wanted some advise on the binding for under 14 locks. Before this at u13&u12 it states must be around prop bind, but does not state this in the u14 rules. Does that mean they are now ok to bind through the legs, on to the shorts, as this would also allow easier binding for flankers, who are introduced this year?

From U14 the instruction for locks to bind around the waist is removed, so normal laws apply and they can crotch bind.
At least thats what the regulations say.

Few years since I was involved in youth rugby and it might have changed, however then from u13 up, locks were allowed to bind through the legs. I'm guessing it's not allowed before that as up until u12 rugby is mixed sex!

^^^ this. there are no "UK regulations". There are differing regs for England, Wales, and Scotland. Ditto IRFU if you want to conflate them also.
