I'd like the tip tackle memo ignored here it does not help. Was it a mandatory TT RED ? NO that does not stop it bein a red for any other reason. That is a separate call. You're fixating on the TT mandatory bit needlesly. As OB pointed out this is not a court of law where we have verytight legalized phrases and loopholes.

loopholes have nothing to do with it.

- I don't think it was worth a RC
- YOU don't think it was worth a RC
- no one on this forum has put up an argument as to why it should be a RC

The JO didn't explain why she thought it worth a RC.

Really, as we both agree, it wasn't a RC offence.
I suspect the JO confused herself and never properly considered the question of whether this really was a RC offence under 10.4(e).
DW should never have been sanctioned. The JO should have dismissed the citing, or perhaps given a warning (YC-equivalent).

He's served his ban already - they played England on the Friday, and he missed the Aus game on the Wednesday!

I am not sure if he did appeal or not

well, at first glance the two were similar - both cited under 10.4(j) and sentenced under 10.4(e)

but in reality quite different

- DW's WAS a tip tackle, but NOT a RC-worthy tip-tackle.

- NN's was NOT a tip tackle at all, but was dangerous play
