It's an April fools joke obviously. They just were a bit late in getting the photographs organised and went ahead with it anyway.

It is horrific. Apparently the RFU have no input now though, sold all those rights to Canterbury?

The vibrant alternate and the more classic (sic) home shirt are expected to spark debate among fans over whether to support Team Home or Team Away.
Or (more realistic option) to realise that the other British Unions haven been right all along, and we should join them in supporting ABE (Anyone But England)!

1. If you squint and stare long enough it's one of those 3D pictures where you can see the Melrose Cup.

2. It's a ploy against their opponents who are prone to epileptic seizures.

3. If they run really fast, the colours blend together to look white again.

RFU Press Release said:
The home shirt has a more classic look to suit fans who favour a traditional style.

I want to meet the fans that consider this "traditional".

Surely this is traditonal - in 7s teh nastier the kit the better.

In a fast moving game I can see that the shirt design would confuse the eye - a bit like a zebra's pattern confuses predators... maybe we will se the England 7s team sticking close together and running random lines

Funniest 7s jerseys I've ever seen: burgers and fries.

Hmmmmm, maybe, but I don't think the Americans should be lecturing anyone on kit design :chin:

We had three visiting New England referees at our dinner yesterday. Perhaps we should have asked them.
