Game type: Friendly
Level: Don't know
Date: 24 Jan 04
Kick off: 2:15 pm
weather: Cold
Pitch condition: Good/Soft

I obtained this game on the Friday night before the game due to my other game being called off, however all was confirmed and this was my game for the weekend.

Game started off nice and bright with Beckingham scoring their first try in the first few minutes. Park House captain made sure his team were aware that this was not the way the game was going to continue. no conversion 0 - 5.

bearing in mind that the pitch was very soft the scrums, rucks and mauls were being played well, which is always reassuring.

20 minutes into the game and parkhouse were struggling as Beckenham put their second try down, Beckenham were obvioulsy much stronger in the scrums and were winning quite a few off the head. 0 - 10.

The Beckenhame dominance continued throughout the first half without reply, Park House struggling to keep the ball, Both the Scrum was failing and the lineouts were not going straight. Half time score: 0 - 27.

The second half started much brighter for Park House, and whatever the captain had said to them at half time had obviously worked, they seemed to have a new flair to their playing and were running the ball very well, however the Beckenham defence was an equal match and Park House were just not getting through, alas though Beckenham were and 30 minutes into the second half they had scored two more tries and converted one, 0 - 39.

This didn't stop PH from giving all they had, and their Positive Mental Attitude (That's what the Lucozade ad's say) helped them to finally break the Beckenham defence, not converted. 5 - 39.

The last say of the game was to be Beckenhams though, with some more creative moves as they had been churning out all game they wents over the Park House line with one minute to go.

And that was the game that was, and ended Park House 5 v Beckenham 44.

Not really, both teams in this case played the game as it should be played.

You had the normal odd offsides and coming in at the sides of rucks/mauls but nothing that would consitute a discussion.

Park House kept their shape very well considering they were being over powered in most parts of the game, and never let it get the better of them, unlike some teams do when they started losing badly.
