My point is that if you treat a verbal abuser differently based on your assessment of his nationality judged against your issues with history, it makes you as much a racist as him.

Would you prosecute only one race for shoplifting? and let all others off?

Its a tad hypocritical.

Yeah but its context really, if a coloured person uses the N word to another coloured person that is semingly acceptable, but if a white person does the same its not acceptable.

Since a large part of the meaning of words depends on context, I don't see a problem (either?).

Unless you are suggesting that, in deciding whether the words used constitute abuse, context should be ignored, no-one would suggest this.
