Back in February the following was sent to All Society and Federation management (crossref a secret email to only the nominated contacts) which re-instates the previous service we had through Dave Broadwell in the old Referees' Depertment.
"To assist Societies seeking Law clarifications the RFU Professional Refereeing and Game Development Department have established a dedicated email address laws@rfu.com. We hope that over time this will become the single contact point for law clarification.
We would continue to encourage the practice of CBs, clubs and match officials approaching their respective Referee Society in the first instance. As this is often where the question can be answered quickly and efficiently. However where further clarification is required we would kindly request that this email address is used.
Emails will be monitored on a regular basis and where possible responses will be provided within 72hrs. Should a question require further investigation and or is referred to RFU Laws Committee/ IRB you will be notified of this. "
This should be a useful service, so send your law questions to your Society Secretary / TDO / SADO and they can review and use the new service !
